Purchase channels and availability

Microsoft Store in-app membership purchases are planned and are not available yet. The Microsoft Store link installs the app; it does not purchase a membership.

The code purchase, redemption and refund instructions below describe existing third-party code orders. Their RMB prices, platform fees and Alipay refund process do not describe Microsoft Store purchases. Channel-specific terms will be published before Microsoft Store in-app purchases become available.

Your app's installation source and the available purchase channel determine the purchase flow. Changing the website language does not change an order, payment provider or existing membership. See Membership and activation for the current options.

Frequently asked questions

Which systems are supported?

Currently supports x64 devices running Windows 10 version 2004 or later. A macOS version is planned.

How do I download and install?

Open Download page to get the Windows installer. That page shows release and download status.

Can OCR and translation work offline?

Install the relevant local model to use its supported recognition and translation capabilities. Initial downloads require an internet connection; cloud services need a connection.

How do I use AI Chat?

Configure an AI service and credentials in the app to chat about screenshots. Charges depend on the service provider.

Where are screenshots and conversations saved?

Images export to Pictures/SnipCC in your user directory by default. History and AI conversations are kept in local app data. Settings → General → History save location changes the history image resource directory; annotation and AI image exports then use its exports subfolder. Directly saved original screenshots, history resources and conversation databases have different storage paths. Check the actual file location after saving.

Is my data uploaded?

Screenshots and history are stored locally by default. Cloud AI, OCR and translation send relevant content to your configured service. Account and update features also require internet access. See Privacy Policy.

How can I get a membership?

Open Membership in the navigation to compare benefits and check purchase availability. Microsoft Store in-app purchases are coming soon and are not available yet. Existing activation codes can still be redeemed in the app.

How do I activate a code?

Sign in to SnipCC, enter your activation code on the account page, confirm activation and refresh your membership status.

Already paid: how do I find my code?

Visit the code platform's Order lookup page to check the original order and avoid paying twice.

How do I report a problem?

Read the relevant topic's FAQ first. If you still need help, email 260244206@qq.com with the SnipCC version, Windows version, steps, expected result and actual behavior. Attach error screenshots with sensitive information redacted.

For purchase or authorization issues, keep the original order and follow Purchase and Refund Rules to provide the required materials. Do not publicly share passwords, API keys or full activation codes.

My interface differs from the guide?

Interfaces, models and tools may vary between releases. Illustrations explain the workflow; refer to your installed version for the actual interface and available features. To get the installer again, use the Official download and installation guide.
