Download and installation

SnipCC currently supports x64 devices running Windows 10 version 2004 or later. Get the Windows installer from the official download page; availability depends on the release status shown there.

Go to Windows downloads

Download and installation

  1. Confirm your device runs Windows 10 version 2004 or later with x64 architecture.
  2. Open the official download page and get the currently released EXE installer.
  3. Run the installer and follow the setup wizard. If Windows shows a publisher or security warning, verify the file's source first.
  4. Launch the app. Install the corresponding models for local OCR or translation; configure services and credentials for cloud features or AI.

What if the download button is unavailable?

Check your connection and reopen the download page. The button may be unavailable if a version is unreleased or release information cannot be retrieved. Do not get installers from unknown sources.

Requirements

Initial model downloads require internet access, and cloud services need a connection. Basic features and membership benefits differ; third-party model calls may incur separate charges. See Frequently asked questions and Terms of Use.

First-run setup

  1. Test capture and saving first, and confirm files are stored where you expect.
  2. Open Shortcut Settings and check the bindings for capture and other features.
  3. For local OCR or translation, open Local Models to view and install the models you need.
  4. For cloud features, configure the service and credentials in Cloud Models. See Models and service setup.

Download and launch issues

Download interrupted or installer will not run?
Download the complete file again from the official website and check Windows 10 version 2004 or later and x64 requirements. If a security warning appears, verify the file source and warning details instead of disabling system protection.
Upgrading or uninstalling?
Back up important screenshots, history and generated files first. Signing out or uninstalling does not delete your account, orders, or all local and third-party data. See Privacy Policy.
