Local models are installed on your device; cloud services process relevant content over the network. Check the feature, model support and membership requirements before choosing.
Choose local or cloud features
Install the relevant local model to use the OCR and translation capabilities it supports. The initial download requires an internet connection; local capabilities depend on your device and supported languages. Cloud services require a connection and valid credentials. Charges and quotas depend on the provider.
Install and select a local model
- Open OCR or translation to check available models and installation status.
- Choose a model that suits your device and language needs, then download and install it.
- Select the installed model in the relevant feature and test it with clear text or an image.
- Check the output. Installing a model does not mean it supports every language or scenario.
Configure a cloud service
- Choose a provider and prepare credentials such as an API key according to its instructions.
- For a custom AI service, enter the Base URL, save credentials and choose an available model.
- Check the connection and remaining quota. Test with a small example before processing a real task.
Screenshot conversations need a model that accepts images. AI Work also needs the relevant tool-calling capabilities. See AI Chat and tools guide.

- Model is installed but unavailable?
- Check model support, device requirements, the model selected for the feature and membership status.
- Cloud connection failed?
- Check the connection, service address, credentials and account quota. Do not share API keys in public screenshots or feedback.
- Does data leave my device?
- Cloud features send relevant content to the configured service. Check the data involved before handling sensitive content. See Privacy Policy.
Settings and download requirements
In Settings, use Local Models to manage installed models, Cloud Models to configure services, and Model Capabilities to review capability settings. Check connectivity, disk space and device requirements before downloading. After installation, return to the feature to select and test the model.
If it still fails, record the model, installation status and error message, then follow Help Center to report the issue. Do not attach API keys or sensitive original images to public feedback.
